Journaling says: The tradition of our Christmas play started way back when I was around five years old. They decided to read the story of Jesus' birth on Christmas Eve, and I decided to bring out my baby doll to play Jesus. Then I decided that Jesus needed a manger so they brought out an old salad bowl for him. That was the start of a huge tradition. Every year we have a play. Some years it's elaborate and we have scripts, and others it's as simple as reading from the Bible. This year in 2007 my three kids, Alexis Ariel, Jordan and Brandon, teamed up with my brother's daughter Alexis Mikayla, to play the Christmas story while it was being read from the Bible. We had a big tub that was supposed to be for ice, for Brandon (AKA baby Jesus) to lay in. The only problem was that Jordan (AKA Mary) wanted to get in it with him, and then she wanted him out. We had the biggest laugh over the fact that "Mary" was beating "Jesus" up on Christmas. Seriously, there's never a dull moment here! Ever.

This is some really old paper I bought from the Dollar Tree. All of the little people are coordinating Miss Elizabeth stickers. I've been planning a LO about our Christmas tradition for a long time. I finally got it done!!!! If you look at the photos you'll see Jordan trying to push Brandon out of the bucket. What you don't see is me trying to keep a straight face while fussing at them and trying to read the Christmas story out loud. Jeez! I was crying laughing.

It's not crooked IRL. I just can't take photos of 2 pagers. Ugh!
