This is a composition book I'm making for the daughter of a women who was on one of my email groups, who I unfortunately never had the pleasure of knowing, but who passed away recently from Lung Cancer, a disease which also claimed my own Father in November of 2002.
The book is covered in Aspire Petallics Starburst Lichen Metallic Paper (80# Text weight).
I used some silver metallic lacy looking wire/ribbon to border the spine of the book and secured it with an eyelet at the top and bottom of its length.
The "B" is from Creative Imaginations Foil covered Chipboard letters in "Ocean Sparkle". It's mounted atop a teal colored plastic slide frame I got from the clearance section of a scrapbook store. :)
The flowers are Prima Satin flowers in a Teal color and are 3 slightly different shades layered atop each other and then finished with an acrylic flower also in a teal color.
The flourish was hand traced and cut off a template piece, and was cut from Royal Blue Pearl Splendorlux coated cardstock (11.5 pt Cover weight).
The bottom right flourish in rhinestones is a Me & My Big Ideas sticker and there are Preciosa crystals (9ss) hand added to the flourish, butterfly button (Doodlebug Designs button), and "B". The clear crystals are in "Crystal", the blue green are Blue Zircon.
The silver handle is 7Gypsies.
This is still a work in progress, only the front cover is done, more work is yet to be done :)
