Great way to use those scraps...this came out awesome! I love the pics...I can really see those baby features she still has today! Beautiful idea for a LO!
Another lo using my leftover Chatterbox scraps! The green scanned kind of funny...it actually does coordinate IRL! :)
Journaling reads:
Here you are…almost 5…ready to start preschool. Sometimes you seem so grown up...so intelligent and self-sufficient. Then there are days like today when I look at you and see my tiny baby girl…with silky smooth skin and round cheeks. How well I remember the day you were born. Twenty-two long hours of labor and then in an instant, there you were...so fresh from God...with dark skin and curly black hair. I remember rocking you for hours on end...watching you sleep and memorizing each tiny feature of your face.
Today, I saw a resemblance to one of those memories that I have tucked away…a glimpse of my baby girl. I’m sure it won’t be long before all the traces of babyhood will disappear, making way for slumber parties, make-up, and (oh, help me) boys. So in those rare moments when I see your baby features shining through, you can bet I’ll treasure the heck out of ‘em!
Savanna, you will always hold a very special place in my heart. You were my first-born...you made me a mother...you made us a family. And no matter how much you grow, whether you’re 5, 15, or 55, you will always be my baby girl.
