SHCG: Such a cool looking Layout! I love seeing the road behind them and them crashed in the back seat like that! They are simply precious. I do also think "keep life simple" should be in a different font, a softer one maybe.
SHCG: WOW! They are out like lights! You guys must have had some kind of fun! I really like the previous poster's idea of putting the "keep life simple" on the side of the truck. Everything else is perfect! Love this!
They are so knocked out! *LOL* I love that photo angle with the view to the road behind. Another awesome page for the Road Trippin' Lyric Challenge! Thank you marsha! oh, & here's my two cents: I wonder if the quote "keep life simple" would look cool if it were placed onto the side of that big Truck in the background? Also, the frame would be a bit more effective, if you trimmed the photo to fit the frame. You may need to do some Photoshop "Clone" tool to extend your son's torso. And to make the clouds look more like they are coming out of the frame, layer them above the frame. I would try minimizing the font size of your Date stamp and placing it inconspicuosly on the back windshield. You can try repeating those lyrics across the entire background. Give it a try & tell me what ya' think. :)
SHCG: Very cute photo and I love the journaling. I would consider taking the "keep life simple" element out though. I love the sentiment but feel like that sign is randomly floating on the side of the page.
SHCG: I think it's so funny that you used RHCP lyrics on this page, and that your "allies" are the wee ones knocked out on the back seat. I love the rising full moon and the clouds that you added to the pic, and how the road behind them stretches into the horizon. I have to admit, I'm still having a hard time with critiquing your digis, because I feel can't offer much in an area in which I lack expertise. I can share that, although I like "Keep life simple," it seems out of place, as is--not the saying, but its font and positioning. Also, the frame throws me off a little bit, and I'm wondering if you really need it. Instead of such defined edges, I see the picture itself diffused on the left and right sides to keep the same dreamlike quality you introduced with the photo effects.
SHCG - Great how you captured "road-trippiness" in this LO, awesome pic, background images/effects & use of lyrics. Initially, I thought the names & year would be better appearing on the right side, to better balance the "keep life simple" quote, but with the text on the left & the images veering to the right side, you convey more of a long-driving-feel here, like we're also driving endless miles w/ you. Cool!
