This is such a great page, definitely a lot of hard work and love put into all of it, that's why I love scrappin even if stupid turkeys take 6 weeks ;)
This looks great on-screeen so I can imagine how terrific it looks IRL!!! I love details and I certainly love the work you put into this wonderful and colourful LO!!
"Trudy" worth all the time and effort!! WOW! This turned out great! I don't know, however, whether I like the lo or the description more! You crack me up, kiddo!
This is an awesome layout!!! Your description made me laugh! I know this is easy for me to say but I think it was worth all the trouble for such a great page.
WOW! Lady, I think you outdid yourself here. I'm not sure what I like best. I adore the quilled turkey. I love the shaped petals on your flowers, and the pretty stems. The paper pieced turkey shows up a bit on the enlarged view. You did a heck of a job with this one, Trudy!
These layouts finally put me over the edge. I try something new with each LO, however, I don't know why I thought I could do two new techniques on the same page. I can blame my daughter for the flower quilling. I took the quilled turkey off a card she made me and decided to quill flowers to go with the Thanksgiving theme. At least the quilling shows up on the layout so I quess the effort was worth it (yeah, right). The detailed paper piecing looks terrific in my album, but hardly shows up here. The stupid turkey has 9 different layers of paper pieces, separated by foam layers, then I added the 'googly eyes' to give him a little personality. The pot holders are made with six layers. I used my cricut expressions to cut the scalloped circle (that was easy!) and deckle cut all the black mats. Nailed the whole mess down with flower brads...and viola...six weeks work,,,done.
