:o) I work for the police here in Canada, so THAT I know. I have a lot of respect for the men and women who wear the uniform and risk their lives every day.
Wow where is this? My husband is a State Trooper and I think that would an amazing trip to go see this place. Ive been able to witness a memorial for fallen police officers and I admit I bawled like a baby, My hubby's class motto was "No more roses" meaning they dedicated their time to learning officer safety so that there would be no more fallen officers. People too often forget that they are out there to protect people!
That is a very beautiful tribute. We have good friends who work for different police forces. One of my students plans on becoming an Arkansas State Trooper. He's a great kid and I told him that was a wonderful goal!
gorgeous... really important to remember those who are willing to lay down their lives to protect others, those fallen and those still out there! I'm glad that they have a place like this.
I would agree. And I think until you have first hand experience by knowing an officer personally, you forget that it is not just about speeding tickets. I have a good friend that is a cop and even though we live in a small town, I still worry for his safety all the time. No place is safe anymore :(
We went to the police museum, and this is the center of the place - a memorial to all fallen police officers throughout the United States. It's sad to think about, but you feel very humbled and grateful for what these guys & gals do for us. It's not all about speeding tickets, folks. And even those save lives.
