SHCG: We make team a great? are you saying we make team Athletics great? I am so cornfused...I actually like this page but I am not getting the pink stripes?
SHCG: This is really cute... what a HOT couple! ;) I also was confused at first by the pink, but after reading Tiff's comment and going back to the lo, I get it. I notice that the Oakland matches the Athletics on your other pages; I like how it ties them together. Love the overall layout also... great job!
SHCG: Great job using your stash! The title was a bit confusing to me, I would have liked to seen "team" on the bottom. I have to say though that my favorite thing about this LO besides the adorable couple on here is the awesome photo of the 85 shadow! I just think its too cool! Great job Bren!
SHCG: What? What? How did this cutie get by me? May I begin by saying that you and your husband are absolute hotties! *swoon* for the both of you. I am so stoked to see this challenge revived! It was one of the craziest and creative challenges thus far. Sharon kicked my a$$ with this one! I was going to say that I wasn't sure about the pink stripes, however... did I just notice 3 matching pink racing stripes on your jacket? Hmmm? Hmmm?? I like the photo placement here and I think you did an amazing job of incorporating all of the elements. J'adore the photo with the 85. Magnificent! It feels slightly top heavy, but for some reason I like it the way it is and can't suggest any changes. I definitely agree that you and shrubby make a great team!
SHCG: Wow, kudos first off for resurrecting this challenge while resurrecting your stash, yeah baby! I love how the green & yellow continues in the background cs & terrific use of the highlighter. The graph paper works well for this, love that cute "retro" (as in stash retro) baseball pp! Also cool w/ the double sticker title. Now, I really like the athletic feel of the stripes but the pink does throw me as well; obvious choices would be another shade of yellow, green or inked white but even a red that matches the title, or orange (or maybe blue? not sure) would work better I think. I also think the placement is a little top heavy, w/ the 2 photos on top & only 1 on the bottom; I could visualize 1 being on top, not as close to the top semi-circle/half ball, w/ 2 on the bottom row (maybe the Athletics semi-circle would have to overlap the left side of one of the pics a little, which I think would be fine). Awesome use of that poster by the way, love that you incorporated it! AND what a fantastic photo of you two, it's well lit & you both look so radiant & oh so very adorable together. A great team indeedy!! Super challenge response!
Great lo! I love the baseball pp, the way you did the title and the journaling! Great photo placement! The pink stripes are a great touch and coordinate great with your jacket! And, Yes, you two are a great team!
SHCG: Nice page. The pink strips are an interesting color choice to me, however. I may have considered something else to coordinate better (although if this is using your stash and it's all you had, I'm all for it!)
This is for the 2007 SHCG Week #27 WC-Stashoffont, which was to make a lo that includes at least two old items from our stash, one office supply, and one word in two different fonts.
Stash Items: The baseball pp is from one of those 8 1/2 x 11 Paper Pizazz sports themed pp books from the 90s! I originally bought it to scrap about my brother's teeball games. Well, he's about to turn 19, sooo... um, yeah. The red sticker alphas are from a DCWV Christmas sticker stack that's a coupla years old. The pink cs strips and the textured bg cs are also from years old DCWV stacks.
Office Supplies: I used a highlighter over the title alphas. I think the graph paper also qualifies as an office supply. It is in my workplace, anyway.
Font: I used two different sets of sticker alphas for TEAM.
The Athletics arch was cut from a poster that was distributed at the game.
This is page 5 of 5 that I scrapped for this event.
