Hidden journaling (not pictured) reads:
I couldn't have ordered up the day any better if I had tried. It was only Day 5 of my “stay-cation.” I had a 50% off coupon from Michael's and I was finally going to buy the Making Memories desktop carousel I had been dreaming about for months. Not a big deal, you say, but saying something and actually doing it can be two very different things.

See, the closest Michael's was about 25 miles away from our house. Big deal, right… except for the fact that getting there requires making left turns… almost all the way there. On a good day (usually any given Sunday), it takes about 45 minutes to get there. On average… count on one hour. But today… well, today was a good day!! It seems all the planets had aligned and I made it the whole way there WITHOUT being stopped by one red light. It was miraculous! So, after a wonderful 35 minute drive I was happily strolling into Michaels and 10 minutes later I was even happier after I had acquired the much sought-after carousel.

It was June 24 and the summer rains in Florida had come early that day. The temperature was a balmy 80 degrees and there was an amazing breeze. I had not taken the motorcycle out in months and Jim thought I should take it for a spin before dinner. So, off I rode… and rode… and rode. Well, almost an hour later, I grudgingly pulled onto our street and of course, Jim was waiting in the driveway for me. He never said anything, but I'm sure he was VERY worried. Instead, he saw how happy I was and promised me we would ride together the very next day. It was the first day he and I had off together in almost two months so I was thrilled… It was a good day.

Dinner was waiting for me when I got home and Chelsea had returned from spending the night before and day with Alyssa. We were all together for dinner... Not a common occurrence in our house now that Chelsea is working. While I finished eating, Jim snuck into the garage and changed the oil on my bike. When I went out to see what he was up to, I looked out of the garage and found a rainbow stretching ALL the way across the sky. You see I LOVE rainbows – and in all of my life, I don't think I have ever seen a rainbow stretch ALL the way across the sky…

As a final thought… the Red Sox had beat the Arizona Diamondbacks in the bottom of the 8th inning… Yes, indeed… it had been a VERY good day!!
