The housing boom has slowed to a very slow crawl In some ways that is great...in others, it is not (especially for our business...we install, sand & finish hardwood flooring, mostly in new construction)
Very pretty neighborhood, sometimes I wish the changes wouldn't come but then if they didn't I wouldn't be getting a new library or have new streets on which to ride my bike.
We're having the same sort of thing happen here... kinda sad to me, I liked our nearly empty road! Though I'm sure the other people who lived here before us felt the same way!
Springfield is starting to expand north.....I am afraid that eventually we will get swallowed up. I pray not for a long time.....but change just keeps happening.
Our neighboorhood has grown, but at least we own a strip of the land across from us and there are woods on the south and east of us and a strip of trees on the north. We are good! Ahhh, country living!
That's why I'm so glad we own all the land around us, there's at least 40 acre stretch between us and the next landowner on 3 sides, and a county road in front with land that is almost too steep to build a house on, so I think we're good!
Who would've guessed how much the neighborhood would change, three houses, a trailer, and a pond that weren't there when we moved in and a fourth house under construction
