This is the USS Lexington, a retired aircraft carrier docked in Corpus Christi, Texas. Last summer while in Corpus, me, both dd's, and my mom went on a tour. It was really interesting to see all the parts of the ship-from the deck with planes still on it to the crew's quarters, the officer's quarters (big difference), and the post office, dentist, machine room, etc. It really truly is a whole floating city. I don't remember all the battles this ship was in (have that pamphlet somewhere), but it was a lot! The hardest thing for me to imagine was getting anywhere fast on that ship-the "halls" and "doorways" were barely a person across and not a whole person tall! Anyways, it was really interesting.

I was having a hard time scrapping this-so unlike my usual lo's, until I recently found this "Navy" line.
