The text reads: "Tis the Season" - Just for kicks, we decided to host a "Christmas in July" party at our house to celebrate Daddy's birthday. We cooked a full Christmas Dinner (and managed to make our oven burn up), hung stockings from the mantle (well, we actually hung Daddy's socks from the entertainment center) and put up a real Christmas tree (which was actually just a limb from a pine tree stapled to the wall). Everyone was encouraged to bring the tackiest gift they could find for a gift exchange. Some of the gifts were flat out hilarious! We had a Christmas bugle, a maroon and yellow striped scarf and a half used box of sprinkles. One of the missionaries received and old jar of pickled peppers (compliments of Daddy). Our guests were wonderful. The whole Schwartz family was there; Amy, John, Taylor, Jonas and Mason. The whole Fisher family was there, too; Marc, Sarah, Avanlee, Dalyn, Savannah and Christian. We had four missionaries there, but I only remember the names of two; Elder Adams (Kendall) and Elder Smith (Samuel). They were the two that were with us the longest while we were in Virginia. We should do this every year... We had so much fun!
