Here is my layout for the June – Weakness challenge. I went a little different route this time and wanted to make a layout to remind myself that I do not need to be frozen in condemnation for my weaknesses (sins) I've had in the various stages of my life, because Jesus set me free from the chains of my sins when he died on the cross for me. The folder of pages and pages of handwritten sins is just symbolic of the weaknesses I keep in my head instead of reminding myself that it's already been “paid in full.” The scroll has one of my favorite hymns on it. (Words at the bottom if you want to read it).
Words to Before the Throne of God Above (the second verse being my favorite)
Before the throne of God above,
I have a strong and perfect plea.
A great high Priest whose Name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in Heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God the just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.
