Youth Group Trip July 2007: What a Trip this was! I imagined it was going to be something that we would all do together. Bot Did I guess wrong on that ons. We did spend some time together, but mostly the youth grouped off into pairs. They left us adults to fend for ourselves. It didn't seem to bother Pastor David or Eric that much, but it did bother me quite a bit because I made a special effort to make sure my adopted little did could come with us and she ditched me almost immediatly after getting there to hang out with the younger Katie. It really hurt my feelings that she had done this. We ended up having to take her home with us that night as her parents didn't want her staying at home by herself because something had come up. I didn't feel like having her around that night after what she had done to me, but I realize that the way her brain functions is it's all about her. She doesn't always comprehend how she may be making others feel. It's a good thing that I love her for who she is deep on the inside.
The youth that attended were: Stephanie, Katerina, Joel, Katie (older), Katie (younger), Josh, Sabrina, & Leanna.
I guess since it was the first real youth "trip" it was a learning experience.
