OH MY! What a fantastic job on your Dad's military history! Our son was in Iraq, but he is not a photographer at all, unless it is scenery or weather related, so the scrapbook that I am putting together will be mostly articles from the Internet or other sources. I was certainly inspired by all of your work and research.
Just had to post after checking out your gallery. I was adding to a post about Ann Marie asking what her style was. Just want to say I think your gallery is really very good, love the way you have scrapped your dads Vietnam journey, my dh went to Vietnam and if I ever get time to do his pics I will follow your example....great scrapping.
Layouts from the Army book that I made for my dad. All of these pictures were taken by him when he was going through boot camp. The text beside the map of Georgia tells the history of Fort Gordon. The last name memorabilia were scans of my dad's actual name tags. Journaling strip on the right hand page is a historical time line of the Vietnam War, which I customized to add in when my dad was drafted, and all of the dates that he was transferred from one base to another before going to Vietnam. Other journaling on the page is my dad's personal memories of his Army time. The dogtag on the map indicates where the pictures were taken and the dates my dad was at that particular base.
