This is my 2-page LO for my own Faith Scrappers CJ entitled "Spiritual Gifts". Journaling reads, "People have shared with me that I possess the gift of relationships. (I didnít even know this was a spiritual gift!?!) Yes, I have close friends I have known for nearly 40 years (and Iím only in my early 40s) and from every job Iíve ever had, and call family across the country just because Iím thinking of them, but I never thought of relationships as a gift. To me, itís just a part of everyday life.
Together, weíve been through engagements, marriages and divorces, graduations, new jobs, cars and houses, births of children and deaths of parents, happy and sad times. What can I say? I care about people, especially ďmyĒ people. It is not easy for me to say goodbye or let people walk out of my life, especially if they have meant something special to me. Therefore, I make the extra effort to preserve and continue relationships.
My two incredible, loving parents gave me my first true sense that a relationship is something very special that takes time to build, must be lovingly nurtured, faithfully contributed to, and purposefully maintained. More importantly, every relationship must be rooted in unconditional love, patience, and forgiveness. Yes, itís hard work, but the rewards are great! What a precious gift! I pray I never take it for granted, or forget how to use it."
