About three summers ago a mamma hummingbird built a nest above the light in our carport. Each year they come back and this year we had two little ones. We took these pics on the day they took their first flight. The first one was a little more brave than the second. As I was taking the pic on the lower left he bravely flew out of the nest. My husband took the picture of the mamma feeding the baby on the fence while they were waiting for the other one to fly. So far we have had 5 little ones over the last three years. I had never seen a hummingbird nest nevermind eggs and then babies. AMAZING!
