Mom came to see us in Lafayette with Alyssa and her friend, Samantha. While they were in Louisiana we decidedd to go to New Orleans for the St. Patrick's Day parades. We caught tons of beads and coins, and got an eyeful on Bourbon Street. Katie just loved the beignets at Cafe du Monde. Beignets are triangle-shaped pieces of diugh, deep fried then smothered in powdered sugar. Yummy! We say the sights of the French Quarter and even went on a ghost tour. It was so much fun!
