For the July 2008 "Learn a New Technique Challenge"
Step 1 – prepping the object. If you want a smooth look make sure you sand your wood object first. If you are using a plastic object, you will need to use plastic paint to coat your object. The candle sticks I’m using will not need a prep. I painted on a light coat of wine colored paint. I want the under color to show through as if the candle sticks were made of red wood, dipped in gold and years of use the gold is rubbing off.
