WoW... can you believe I still have this corsage??? It is so moldy and brittle, that I had to wear a hazmat suit just to turn the page!! lol And there is a story behind this corsage. You'll love it.
I was in 9th grade. I had a crush on a boy name Mark Peterson..and my best friend Teri was the girlfriend to Mark's best friend. Sooooo, Teri told her boyfriend to ask Mark to take me to the 9th grade graduation dance. No big deal..right?? Well here is the funny part. We all had the same class towards the end of the day and we just happen to be watching a film in that class.
The four of us were sitting in the back room, on a table. So Teri hits her boyfriend and tells him to tell Mark to ask me. (and I could hear this whole exchange of words whispering around me.) So, Mike, Teri's boyfriend, leans over to Mark and says ask Quay to the dance. I hear Mark say "NO". So Mike, the little darlin' says fine then I won't buy you a shake after school. So, Mark turns to me, and says; "Quay do you want to go to the dance with me?" Geeez, what a dork I was. My eyes lit up and I said YES.. I didn't care how I got to the dance, I just wanted to go. And going with Mark, my flava' of the month made it all the better!!! And there ya have it... I was bought for 1 shake.. lol
