Aww, what a cute LO! I like how you scrapped something like this... these will be great memories for him! :)
Maybe I should try this on my 8th graders. ;)
Journalling: Ashton does find himself in trouble on occasion and has to use a time out. Ashton used to have his time out in his crib. The crib was great because he couldn’t get out. I use my Pampered Chef timer to mark how long he needed to be in time out. He tells me, “Push, push,” to start the timer and he knows the “Beep, beep,” means his time out is over. We wondered where time out would be when we moved him into his big boy bed. We decided to have him sit in his big boy bed. It has been a relatively smooth transition. Ashton stays seated when you tell him even though he whines, “Up, up, up! I want up!” the majority of the two minutes he now spends in time out. When the timer goes off, he is quick to toddle off the bed to end his time out. Time outs work great for him, the majority of time. The two minutes are long enough to take his mind off whatever he was upset about. Plus, being in his room, there is usually something that catches his interest that he wants to play with when the timer goes off. Thanks for looking!
