Well pics pretty much say it. Mom and nephew at the fair. He loved how this ride spun around and stood up afterwards and this is what happened..

the organza ribbon was cut and colored to look like the checkered flag, then was sewn on.
pop dots where used to attach the white buttons
bamboo blocks where painted and then lettered
clear buttons used for center of top large flowers
white floss was used to sew the flag on as well as died a port red and used in the buttons
cherry blossoms were died a port red color
