This page celebrates the joy and freedom I feel when I'm with my favorite horse, Wyatt. I'm so blessed that his owner lets me spend so much time with him, and encourages us to build the bond between us.
The photo was taken at the finish line of the 2007 Bedford Spring Hunter Pace in Westchester County, NY. Despite me being an inexperienced pacer and Wyatt being a pretty old competitor (he was 21 at the time, equivalent to a human being in their early 60s), we flew through the eight mile course and finished fifth in our class.
Journaling block says, "Wyatt - I love your spirit, energy and affection. I love that at 21 years old, you still thrill to the trail and never want to stop running. I love that you can race with the younger horses and outpace them. I LOVE THAT YOU LOVE TO LET ME FLY ON YOUR WINGS."
