This was made for a themed bookmark swap, "rainbow colors" group. The rainbow colors were made using a mosaic technique...my first attempt. Once completed, the entire rainbow was covered with Mod Podge to give it a shiny, finished look. The top of the bookmark was inked with a blue dauber. The rainbow ribbons were attached with small stitches made with white embroidery floss.
The mosaic "tiles" were all hand cut and hand placed with tweezers. The mosaic part of this bookmark alone took 4.5 hours!!!
