This is my first book I've ever made from scratch! I used styrene for the covers and cut them to size with an exacto knife (went thru 4 sheets to get it right!), For the front: I placed pink ribbon along the punched edge, added pink rhinestones in the name (Kylie) that I printed out on the computer and used as a template, added hearts to make it look "pretty" and cover up the zots used to hold the layers together, for the board behind the plastic I covered a mat cut slightly smaller than the plastic with pp, added mulberry hearts in light pink, added letters but from Girls Are Weird (sizzlits alpha) and then used sparkle modpodge over it all, followed by a layer of clear mat, I then used terrifically tacky tape to hold it down along the edge where the ribbon was and zots to hold the rest of it together. On the back cover I did the same procedures using different papers and ribbon. The back cover is held on using terrifically tacky tape under both ends (I added the second ribbon because I put the tape on the wrong end of the board), I then added "skittles" in pink along the ribbon to act as bumpers to help prevent the plastic from getting all scratched up. For the inside covers I applied pp and then used sparkle mod podge and followed with mat mod podge. I bound it all together with my bind it all. Be sure to punch the plastic BEFORE attaching the mat to it! TFL!
