This is my first layout in a while. I've been having trouble finding time to scrap since I've returned to work! Thanks to those of you who checked in with me from time to time!
This is Madeleine frolicking in the flower garden at the front of our house.
The journalling reads:
Madeleine, you just LOVE the garden...I think you must get that from your grandma, because mommy certainly does not have a green thumb! Every time you see a flower, you just HAVE to lean down and smell it, whether it’s in a picture, a book, or in nature.
Ever since you watched grandma plant some flowers, mommy and daddy have had a very hard time making sure that you garden outside and not in our potted plants in the house! What a mess!!
I was inspired to use watercolour pencils for my flowers by a layout by gabriellep (extremely talented...if you haven't checked out her gallery yet, then you must!) I was having trouble finding embellishments for this page...everything just didn't seem 'soft' enough. I stamped my blooms on to cardstock, coloured and painted them with watercolour pencils and then cut them out. I'm very pleased with the effect!
