Wow great photo! Wonderful moment. Caleb expressed such a sweet sentiment. I can just imagine how proud your whole family is.
It is also an interesting photograph in that is shows an aspect of Christianity that I am unfamiliar with. My church does not immerse for baptisms; rather, the minister annoints and then the children partake of their first communion (with the congregation). This also occurs after the children attend classes. Children really get it twice because they are baptized as babies; that service being more of a covenant between the congregation (& parents ) and God promising to help raise the child in Christ.
But older Baptisms are so wonderful. Your Caleb has a pure heart of his own free will now!
Baptism symbolizes the cleansing from sin, it illustrates what Christ has done for us and what has been done through Him. Bringing death to our old way of life and beginning new in Him.
Our sweet Caleb was baptized this morning, his statement to the church was simple and straight from his heart, "I want to be baptized because I want to show everyone that I love Jesus, and to show Jesus that I love Him."
