These are pics from the day I ventured out alone with the girls, along with my girlfriend Cathy, and her new baby. 12x15 lo. Thanks for peeking!
- painted edges of layered papers with white acrylic paint
- mounted all photos on chipboard and painted edges white.
- there is a photo of Cathy, Adrianna's mommy, underneath the top photo on the right page
- initials on right page were cut out of chipboard, covered in pp then covered in diamond glaze
- metal words "cherish" and "priceless" were painted in white
- made the large "S" and "B" in the title out of chipboard covered in pp and Modge Podge and backed with magic mesh
- flowers in title were cut out of chipboard, covered in pp and modge podge. center is a large brad
- title was printed on transparency then cut out. "eauties" was mounted onto flowers cut out of pp then topped with round glass tiles
Journaling:
"Here we are on our first venture out alone to the park with Cathy and her new baby, Adrianna. The girls were 37 days old and Adrianna was a scant 2 days older. They were as cute and sleepy as can be. Sweet Silence! So, what is it about babies and the outdoors? Just being outside seems to calm and soothe them. …Actually, we’d heard about this before - that even in the coldest weather, the fresh air seems to mellow out the fussiest babies. Yet another lesson for us new mothers. Not that we’re complaining, it’s just funny to see these things happen before our eyes. We only hoped it was something we could count on at the times we would need it most.
Seeing all the sleeping babies lined up in a row, passersby thought they were triplets! I guess it’s hard to see the differences at this age. We just smiled and said "no, but these two are twins." It was quite entertaining to see their eyes light up at that!
