Wow, my first LO in a looooong time!!! I'd been concentrating on cards! Over the past two days, though, I got involved in a LO. This one is about the kids' adventures in Vacation Bible School at our church. The Sunday after it was all over, the children put on a "presentation" for their parents and the rest of the congregation. As usual, it was adorable. There is only one picture of Lizzie on this LO because she simply refused to get up on stage but once, and when she was up there she refused to sing. I had a ball with my Cricut and used THREE carts on this one LO: Plantin Schoolbook, Opposites Attract, and the newest addition, Mickey & Friends.
I think it came out rather well, and since it is 8.5x11 and I squeezed SEVEN pictures on it, I utilized hidden journaling. Pull the tag that says "Hallelujah!" for journaling that reads:
"The second week of summer vacation, Elizabeth and Jordan attended Vacation Bible School at Beacon Free Will Baptist Church. Elizabeth had a ball and participated throughout the week, but come the parents’ program, she refused. Jordan, though, had a ball and was even chosen to hold the Bible up during the “Pledge to the Bible.” A favorite character throughout the week was “Dr. Fizzwell,” who came in wearing his white doctor’s coat to proudly show off his “degrees.” The “Doctor’s” newest degree is the “Degree Of Rainforest Kinetics,” or D.O.R.K. That got a laugh from the whole congregation! After Dr. Fizzwell’s presentation, each “class” got up to perform a song. Elizabeth refused to get up and sing, but Jordan did! June, 2008"
