SHCG: I love that bg pp and seeing that fire/water pic on a lo. Great use of the Jasmine font, and I like what the striped pp adds to the page, as well as the red pp photo mats. My only suggestion would be to outline the brown mats of the journaling blocks in white gel pen, to complement the white outlined polka dots of the bg pp.
SHCG: Very nice! I really like the composition of your LO, and the colors are great- colorful without being overpowering or matchy-matchy. I would just resize the journaling for the Cyldesdale photo so that it doesn't overlap the photo. Great LO!
SHCG: Christy, I love these photos and your details of the event. That photo of the girls is one of my favorite that I have seen. There is just something about it! Sidenote: I have a picture of me in front of that same horse at Busch Gardens (from 1990 when Derek and I got married)!!! I love the papers that you used for the background and the mounts. Particularly, I love that they are colorful, but muted a bit, so that your photos take center stage. Super job!
SHCG: What a fun LO. That picture with water and fire is so neat, how cool that they were dressed to match them! Love your journaling, it's nice to get to read what's going on in the pics. The papers are really pretty also :)
SHCG: I am so glad to see great journaling on your pages. Beautiful papers and color combos. I love the double-matting. Just totally love what you're doing in this album.
SHCG - I am SO DIGGING these colors & pp! Again, fresh 'n fun feel to these patterns & the title font. Awesome pics & excellent journaling - love the coincidentally fire/water coordinating outfits! I could see the inking in the same color (dk green or brown?) from the title block, around the white journaling blocks, just for a bit more added emphasis. Fantastic vacation LO!
We had not even entered the gates to Busch Gardens when I saw a photo opportunity. I just had to get a photo of my girls with two people dressed as “Fire” and “Water” walking on stilts. It wasn’t until we were setting up the pose that we realized Amber had dressed in “Fire” colors and Jamie in the colors of “Water”. This is one of my favorite photos from the vacation.
Just outside the bird exhibit, the girls posed in front of a statue of a Clydesdale, one of the symbols of the Anheuser Busch legacy.
(page 2) The bird exhibit was neat. We just so happened to catch the two photos of the parrot squawking at the squirrel who was stealing his food! It was really comical to watch as the parrot managed to scare the squirrel away once only to have the persistent pest return for another try.
