For multiple challenges.
1) Guylou's sketch challenge for the Scrappin' Derelicts: I followed the design of the sketch with strips of pp behind the photos, journaling, title, etc. The challenge also called for orange or yellow on the LO, so I used striped pp with orange in it and an orange and black journaling spot. Stitching was also required, so I handstitched three little x's next to Sophie's photo.
2) Journaling spot challenge: to use a journaling spot sent to each participant. I matted the journaling spot on black.
3) nick-name challenge: we call our girls "gorillas". You had to journal the about the nickname and also use a non-conventional material. I used black corrugated paper for the title and photo corner.
The journaling says: They're just gorillas! I used to call our cats, "my girls." Then I was telling Rick of a story where a friend of mine mispelled it as "grils." From that, the nickname "gorillas" evolved. Now we call them that all of the time.
