ˇMuy bien hecho! (Very well done). It's great to see you including Spanish in your pages. I have often thought of doing the same thing since I teach Spanish but most of my viewers have no idea what it says!
My son has taught me Spanish, too. He learned it from our good Friend Dora the Explorer as well as school. I agree with you, learning young is the way to go. I hope his school keeps up with it! Cute title!
You’ve been in kindergarten for less than two weeks, but your daily Spanish lessons are starting to pay off. You started out naming different colors (“That chair is café, Mommy. The apple is rojo.”), but this week you came home singing a new tune, literally. Your pronunciation is way off (you say “Buenos nachos”), but it’s definitely a start. I am incredibly excited about your becoming fluent in a foreign language, especially Spanish because it’s not very foreign living here in the Southwest. Foreign languages didn’t come to me easily at all, so I’m thrilled that you’re starting so young. The principal of your school said that the middle school even had to create a new Spanish program for Jerabek kids because most came in fluent after six years of instruction. Soon, you’ll be teaching me how to speak Spanish! Ole!
