Sounds like my grandparent's story. Married in 1941, shipped out to war when my mother was one or two(?) Grandma had to take a job in an office. Love the colors combos. Nice job!
Wow, Kathie! This is such an awesome page! I love how you separated it, and the story is so touching... great idea to type out the journaling, it makes it look so vintage, perfect for the pictures! *faves*
This is so gorgeous! I just love your choice of paper, your font, and especially the line of beading. This is what heritage scrapping is all about! You do a great job with it.
Journaling: My dad, Earle C. Bray, Sgt. Army Air Corp stationed in England in 1942 during World War II. Mother and Daddy were married November 22, 1941. On December 7, 1941, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Daddy was called to duty shortly thereafter.
My mother, Opal (Woods) Bray, in 1943, sitting on my grandparents'porch during a visit to them, waiting for her soldier husband to come home from the war. She had a very good job in a typing pool for a large group of lawyers
