This lo is of my ds after she gave birth to my dn.
I actually made this the night before her birthday, but waited to post it to keep the album in order.
The lo is based on an ad in the Hollywood bowl magazine.

The journaling reads:
I don’t know if it was because she was the first of your daughters to have a baby or if it was because of Diane’s personality (probably a combination of both), but whatever the reason, Diane’s first pregnancy was a major deal for our family. From the moment we found out Diane was expecting (Christmas Eve 1994), we were all engrossed in her pregnancy. We had family discussion on everything from names to breastfeeding, and we were all more than ready when we got the call that Diane was in the real labor (she was two weeks late after all).
I went to the hospital with you, and Mary met us there. When we arrived, Diane was just starting to feel her contractions, and had yet to receive an epidural, so we all kept a low profile for a bit. But once that epidural kicked in, Diane was anxious for us to come in and visit. As I recall, you seemed a bit nervous and worried, probably because you had experience with labor and delivery, unlike Mary and me. The two of us were just so excited; we bounced out of our seats in anticipation every time we saw a nurse walk by. When the eleven o’clock hour rolled around, Mary finally decided to go home since she had work the next day and the nurses informed us that it could be several hours before Diane delivered. So, it was down to you and me, Mom; and we had no intention of leaving until Rebecca was born. Lucky for us, the nurses were wrong. Shortly after midnight, we heard a baby’s cry , and before anyone came to tell us we knew; we knew our little Rebecca had entered the world. We waited just a short time before Randy came and got us, and when we entered the room, Diane was holding her little baby girl in her arms. You, ever being the mother, were both happy and worried (you thought Diane looked pale and weak), but me, being just a little sister and new aunt, was in awe and thought Diane looked more beautiful than she ever had.
Perhaps it was the innocence and purity of the moment; perhaps it was seeing Diane’s dream fulfilled, whatever the reason, I saw Diane as she was always meant to be, a beautiful Mother of a beautiful little girl, and I will cherish that image forever.

Thanks for looking :)
