Fabulous!! I have never seen bee's wax used on a LO. Wish I could see it IRL!! You did very well with the purple and lavender!! Your couple of days messin' with it really paid off!!!
you are sooo creative~! Who would have thought to use the felt bottom off a chair leg for the middle of the flower! How clever! Oh... and this is drop dead gorgeous!
Wowza girl....you created another brilliant masterpiece!!! Love the floor saver felt...hee hee thanks for sharing a great secret! Love the purple and all the awesome textures!!! Of course this went straight into my favs!!! :-)
O.K. Teressa, You've out done yourself again. As soon as I figure, "It can't get any better than this!" It does. I'm pretty choosy about the layouts I designate as favorites, however, between you and your sister the faves gallery is filling up with your masterpieces. Looks like the Louvre in there. Even though your description is concise and informative, I still have questions. Any time you display such an elaborate and detailed layout, you're going to get questions! If you answer mine...you can check my new profile... 1. What does Bee's Wax do? 2. How did you cut the detailed ivy flourish? Nobody is THAT perfect. Not even me (It's hard to be humble, when you are a Norwegian). 3. The dimensional effect on the title is awesome. What letters did you use? Or is it just the chalking giving them the bevel? 4. Are you nuts? Lavender and Purple are my favorite colors and are perfect for this striking layout!
OMG this is gorgeous!!!!!! I was staring and staring at that bird. Recognized it as Periphery, but couldn't figure out why it looked so cool! Then I read your description. That's me; always trying to figure things out without reading the instructions first! LOL! Fave... of course!
Lovely LO! The girls are both beautiful. We need to see one of you and 2dogs! I love the pearls and all of the floral accents. Tell us how you work with the bees wax. I have it for beading, but is it just rubbed on?
dang girl....... this is the prettiest lo EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is one of those lo that i'm gonna be going back & looking at all the time!!! oh & i forgot, those r 2 BEAUTIFUL girls!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, I finally did it, I used purple and lavender in a lo, which are my two "least" favorite colors, and I actually like it!! It took me a couple days to get there though.....had to keep messin' with it to get it where it worked for me!! Those two lovely girls are my niece(2dogs daughter) and my daughter!! I can't believe I did a "purple" lo!!! Oh, before I forget, have to give my sis (2dogs) credit for the string of pearls, we went scrap shoppin' yesterday, and she showed me where she gets some of her "goodies"......pretty clever too!!! And I wish you could see this in real life....I have been wanting to use bee's wax on my lo's for a long time, but couldn't find any. But yesterday, found it!! The bird, the cut out branches, and some of the flowers are covered in it, and it looks so cool!! Anyway, enough babbling, thanks for takin' a peek!! OHHHHHHHH...FORGOT to mention this......the big purple flower in upper right side, that tan colored "fuzzy" center, is used to put on the bottom of chair legs and stools to keep from scratching your floors......they make awesome centers for large flowers, turns out!!!!!
