Me and my family enjoying a morning of kayaking while visiting Culebra, PR this pas August.

Journaling Reads:
Why not? I thought to myself. It’s included with our hotel stay. And if I don’t like it, I won’t feel bad because I really didn’t pay any extra for it. So we got up that morning, had breakfast and headed to the bay to do some kayaking. As we are signing the paper work, which pretty much states the hotel is not responsible for any accidents, I started to get nervous. Was this dangerous? But we went ahead with it. We put our life jackets on and Daniel and I were the first ones to go. I don’t think Daniel trusted me much because while he was in the kayak with me all he did was whine and complain, which in turn made me nervous. After a very, very short trip I dropped him off and went on my own. I went around the bay one more time and headed back. It was absolutely beautiful. When I get back to the deck, Carlos gets in and Daniel jumps in right behind him, no complaints whatsoever. Carlos took him around the bay a couple of times and heads back for Kati. Kati gets in; actually, we put her in because she was so stiff with that big life jacket around her. She held on to the handles really tight and just enjoyed her trip around the bay. We thought she’d be scared but she wasn’t at all, she kept really still and loved every minute of it. After a very short time kayaking (like 45 minutes), we packed everything back up and headed back to the beach. Although lots of work, it was a great experience and I’m glad we got the chance to do this with the kids.
