Z is for Zavata

This LO is of my baby niece, Zavata. We took her outside and had a little baby photo shoot over the weekend, so I had to scrap some of those photos. She wasn't really in a smiling mood that evening, but I did snap a couple shots of her smiling. I had to put one of those pictures on here. =D

-I used some scraps in this (I'm working on getting rid of those) and some "ugly" papers that I'm also trying to get rid of. I tore the edges of all the bg paper to make it a little edgier
-For the "Z" in the title, I used a Z stencil as a mask, put green ink on a cotton ball, then inked around the stencil. Then I added blue ink to make it stand out a little better.
-The flowers and buttons are attached with Zots
-The white ribbons are attached with silver brads
-I wrote "is for" with black glitter gel pen and outlined with pink gel pen
-I wrote "ZAVATA" in pink gel pen and outlined it with green glitter gel pen
-The "July 27, 2008" (at the top) and "6 months 23 days" (at the bottom), I wrote with green glitter gel pen. Also the Capricorn Zodiac sign I doodled with green glitter gel pen
-I doodled zigzags on the light pink paper behind the pics and added a pink bow at the top
-In the corners of each photo I drew a "Z" with green glitter gel pen (hard to see here)
-The torn edges were chalked with light green chalk (hard to see here), and the photos were chalked with white (also hard to see here).

I think this turned out pretty well, considering I have deemed the majority of the paper in it as "ugly."

ALPHABET LAYOUT
-Use "[Letter] is for..." as the title: my title is "Z is for Zavata"
-Use 5 items/techniques that begin with that letter:
---1. zigzag doodles (on the light pink paper)
---2. Zots (to adhere the flowers and buttons)
---3. zigzag edge (green paper behind pics - kind of hard to see here)
---4. "Z"s - hand drawn in the corners of each photo
---5. zeros (in "2008" at the top)
---6. Zodiac sign of Capricorn (bottom right) b/c she was born Jan. 4
---7. Zavata (picture)
---8. Zavata (word)

UGLY PAPER
-the main greenish-yellow paper I've had for a while. When I first got it, I thought it was pretty, but the longer I stared at it, the uglier it became. LoL. Also, i'm not a fan of pink, so I think the pink polka dot paper and the light pink paper (behind the pics) are both ugly. The green/blue floral paper is pretty, but I was just trying to get rid of scraps with that.
