Journaling: When we first found out we were pregnant we asked you both what you wanted. Annabelle said a little brother, Eleanor said a little sister. I should have known. The morning of the ultra-sound I was so distraught. I knew that no matter what I was going to be a little disappointed because one of you would not get what you wanted. I realized that the only way I would not be disappointed is if there were twins, a boy and a girl. All four of us went to the ultra-sound together. I was still really nervous. Then the technician put the monitor on my belly. Immediately the reason for my larger-than-normal size was revealed. There were two babies! A boy, and a girl! Praise Jesus!! We all got exactly what we wanted. Daddy and I were on such a high that we could hardly sleep that night. I was a little anxious about preterm labor but after a more detailed ultra-sound revealed that the twins were as healthy as could be I started to relax. I still wonder how I will make it through the first three months of extreme sleep deprivation, but I know that our family will be so much richer for this blessing of two.
