Please excuse the crappy cell phone picture. I used all the goodies from BluEyeDezines LEAVE A COMMENT AND I WILL PICK A FEW RANDOM POSTS AND SEND YOU SOME BLUE EYED LOVE... Thank you for looking, Laura
The journaling reads:Top Three List of Things to Pray For
has been the same since November.
I am so grateful that Pat and Lynn were
honest about the issues they were facing.
At that time they were both considering suicide
because they were simply overwhelmed
with everything. They spent years dealing
with their kid's addiction problems which left them
emotionally exhausted and financially depleted.
With their energy focused on those problems,
they lost their ability to manage their own
financial affairs and their business. Subsequently,
they lost their cars and their home.
With all of this gone, their marriage suffered
and they felt totally defeated in every way.
They were brave enough to share all of this
with me. Even the parts that weren't pretty
and that really hurt to talk about. Better yet,
they were willing to let me help. I began by
enlisting the help and support of their families.
Both Pat and Lynn were willing to seek medical
attention to alleviate their depression. We sat
down and did some realistic goal setting and
made attainable benchmarks for progress.
We managed their finances together and
made a hard budget. Then, I took the most
important step, I prayed .Now it is eight months
later. Both Pat and Lynn and emotionally, spiritually
and financially healthy, happy and free. They are in
a beautiful home, they finances are in order,
they both have jobs they enjoy and their marriage
is stronger. Both Jeff and I are so grateful
to have them as friends and trusted partners
in our lives. They have been such a blessing
and an inspiration to know that even when
things appear to be at their worst,
everything is answered through prayer.
