SHCG: Marsha, what a beautiful layout! The colors that you used here are fabulous. I'd love it if you would shadow the "You & Me" with the darker blue. I think that would make it stand out more. Poor little guy. My Daniel broke his leg when he was 18 months, so I feel for him and his mommy. Nice job, Marsha!
SHCG: Pretty page for a not so pretty subject. I wish you used some different elements though... I don't know how I feel about the swirls and flowers on a boy's injury page.
SHCG - This is lovely, Marsha, despite the fact that the subject matter's the little one's broken bone, ow! Glad you said in the LO thread that it "mended well as children do & life goes on"...nicely put, I bet he's a bundle o' energy again these days! Great photos, colors & elements - you made this both beautiful & boyish at once, which is really cool! Dig the stitching & the swirls. I'd like a little more by way of journaling, a date as well as a little parenthetical sentence saying how cute Corrie broke his leg, for example insert "(he had fallen off the highest level of the Gymboree play structure 2 weeks earlier, poor little one! But he eventually mended well & life goes on!") at the end. (Are you noticing that I'm an ink & journaling addict? Haha!). I agree w/ Brenda & Chris that the "You & Me" is hard to see but maybe it's more visible IRL. Overall, fantastic job, Marsha!
SHCG: I LOVE that flourish in the bottom right corner and the stitching along the left. The fact that the stitching is not 100% even really makes it look hand done. Beautiful colors. Personally, I would add some bling or more flowers or something of that sort to the ends of some of the flourish. "You & Me" needs to be outlined or shadowed a bit -- it gets lost in the heart. And, I'm not sure about the other two flourishes. Beautiful LO :)
SHCG: Love the softness and texture to this lo. I like the way the flourished leaf stems connect each photo and suggest a flow. The arrow does a great job of directing my attention from the journaling to the bottom photo. I love the stitched margin, and the ribbon threaded through the eyelets holding up the heart. I also like how the heart is a lighter denim color for the words in it, but I still think they're a little difficult to read. Maybe they're more legible irl; otherwise, they could use more sparkle. On that note, I'd like to see some sparkle on those star shaped flowers and dots that are on the big flourish. Finally, I can't decide if the edges of the blue mat should be more distressed or further defined. Nice job, Marsha.
