I love this. I like the use of multiple photos. I see so many people only using one photo per page, although they are cute, I think it's a waste of paper!
Bet that was fun! You took them all the way to CO for a playground-lucky kids J/K. I used to wonder why they needed playgrounds here but I guess the little ones don't appreciate the beauty we see as much;beauty to them IS a playground. LO Nice LO! I LOVE ESTES PARK-that is why I live in the Loveland area.
Cool. I'D enjoy that, heck with DH.LOL. I once had some Black and Tan by Coors that was pretty decent. Anyway, great photos. I love the humor with the Ren & Stimpy song. Made me giggle.
I tend to agree.. I love reptiles..except snakes. Those give me the heebie jeebies. Great job on the LO. Clean lines and just the right amount of embellishment.
We spent a weekend in Rapid City a couple of summers ago...With that said, I absolutely love this page & the statue monuments that you came across! Makes me want to visit again sometime soon! :)
Another nice arrangement of a lot of photos. I really like the down homey look of the gingham paper, perfect choice for the photos. Great job creating the border with the stamps.
I love the way you place the photos and the simple square in the middle of both pages. Very nice. What a beautiful place - it's in crossword puzzles a lot.
I like the "haphazard" arrangement of photos. They don't look cluttered. It was a good idea to outline each photo in black. It makes them stand out. Great job!
This obviously is the title page of Colorado trip album. I featured all the participants of my dh's extended family outing. The four big photos depict one carload. We took them during the drive obviously. The smaller, circular ones are the passengers of the other car. (One was that of MIL - but she isn't a fan of having her photo taken, let alone allowing others to look at it. So it has been blotted out in deference to that.)
I used ditress ink for the first time on this LO and found it really added to the look. The brown background paper was crumpled first and then rubbed with the ink. And the photos are edged with it as well.
The title was a black die cut, but I thought it looked too dark for the LO. So, I pained it with acrylic paint until I got the right coloring and then mounted in on white paper and then handcut around it. I also borrowed an idea from the gallery (specifically from "Tranquility" by MissyGinCT) and used alphabet stickers to make a mask to paint over to place names directly on the larger photos. (I left only the first letters to give an idea of what they look like on the photos.) I found I didn't have enough "A's" though and ended up using the backing paper and my Xyron. I can't tell the difference... another way to make those stickers go farther I guess.
