Your first train ride on Amtrak. You had a wonderful time with your sister, Cheyenne, Nana, Poppy, and I. You even made a new friend on the train! We were traveling to see the UniverSoul Circus in Baltimore, but I'm pretty sure you enjoyed the train more than the circus! Well, maybe not but you sure did like it. I love looking at these pictures because it reminds me of how quickly you are becoming your own person independent of me and your father. Just a month before this you were terrified of getting on a local train to your great aunts house. And look at you here! Just as confident as ever. One day you'll be getting on the train by yourself and sending me letters from all the exciting places you go. You are growing up so fast. I have to remind myself that the more eager you are to do things by yourself, the more you are becoming your own person. Soon you won't need me anymore. And although it's sad for me to think about, I know I must be doing something right!
