What?????????? I was joking last March when we were under more than 6 feet of snow that it would still be melting in August... I guess it's true in your part of our beautiful little province!!!
It's great that you caught this on a photo. Now you know why they used to bury block of ice in sawdust in the winter, so they would have ice all summer.
wow - Not sure if any of you have read the Laura Ingall Wilder books, but that is how they kept their ice all summer (Farmer Boy book) They cut blocks of ice in winter, and packed it into a shed with lots of sawdust. It would last all summer.
WOW! I'm amazed! If we have snow that lasts longer than a couple of days (even in January) it's something to get excited about. I can't believe it was still there in August. How 'bout if I send you some of our 103 degree weather....that will melt it.
This is what was under a huge pile of sawdust from our woodworking shop. Hard to believe you could find snow anywhere in August! Doesn't look like summer the way DH is dressed , but it was raining and somewhat cool today.
