Awww...first off, I love that the flap is addressed to BooBoo & says "YOUR life" (so cute). And quite innovative hidden journaling, I've never seen a flap secured by paper strips like this! Hope it's all right if I lift this clever feature someday...I love hidden journaling but have mostly hidden mine in pockets.
Awwwww, aren't you the sweetest person. I know people who keep their dogs tied up all the time. what the point in having a dog if you are going to do that?? he is a cutie pie too. Love the lo.
This is a really touching story and it made me think of my furbaby. I'm not afraid to say that this almost brought me to tears. How could anyone take care of a dog like that. Animals need love. It just confirms the importance of pet ownership and providing an animal with a good home. There are so many animals who need love and never get it. You're truly an angel. This lo. is definitely going into my favorites.
Oh, Sue!!! What a marvelous page for an outstanding story!!! Love the page, the dog, and you for giving him such a wonderful life (as opposed to being tied to a porch!)!
This is my dog BooBoo. He is NOT blue in real life. He is a black lab. The color is really off here. This is the story of how we came to own BooBoo
Everything here is paper, for the paper only challenge. The journaling card is held in place by a double layer strip of cardstock that is slipped into a hole under the paper by the work 'play' (and under the flower petals). Some of the paper is homemade using bubble wrap, the rest are scraps. All the words are off paper and one is from a magazine. The swirls are handcut.

BooBoo’s Story: Several years ago some friends of ours got a puppy, a cute little black lab. He was adorable. Right away I wondered how they would be able to keep him, since they lived in a townhouse with no yard. The kids loved the dog and took turns walking him. But they were either in school, or had to work. The pup was not allowed in the house, so spent all his time tied to the porch, rain or shine.
Now, black lab puppies turn into big black labs. And they need lots of running room. I lived in the country and had lots of room. And I just couldn’t get this dog out of my mind. So, one day I told them: “If you ever want to get rid of the dog, give me a call.” And a few months later, the phone rang, and I found myself the new owner of a bouncy black lab.
The first thing I wanted to do was rename him. His previous name just didn’t seem to fit. After much thought I finally decided to call him BooBoo (like in Yogi Bear). It was the perfect name! BooBoo is a wonderful dog! BooBoo weighs in at about 100 pounds and yet he is gentle and sweet, even with the grandkids. And he just fit right in with my other dogs. And now I have 3 dogs that follow me everywhere I go!
