This LO shows off the beauty that is flourishing in the Las Vegas desert. It also captures my children in their favorite setting – the pool! What happens in Las Vegas happens around water. (At least, in the summertime) I think the RP paper is the perfect match for these poolside photos.
Technique:
While completing this LO I encountered a problem with the crème rub-ons. I had cut out the word “love” and was preparing to transfer when I realized I was missing the “E”. It had adhered itself to the packaging. (aaahhh!) Well, I took out my Exacto knife and lifted it from the packaging (somehow, in one piece) and placed it on my LO. It landed how it landed but I managed to save it. Not really a technique but if you are ever in a jam with your rub-ons, give it a shot.
Journaling:
My husband’s co-worker invited our family over to his home for a swim party and BBQ. Mid July in Las Vegas? A pool? We couldn’t say yes fast enough! What we didn’t realize - we would spend the day in a desert paradise. Noah and Kayla enjoyed every jump into that paradise and helped a new friend learn the art of the cannonball.
The circle of friends we make throughout life grows and diminishes with each passing year. Friends will come and friends will go. It is my hope that my children value friendship even if the friendship is only for a day. You never know, that very friend you only spent a little time with, may become your best friend later in life.
