For the decathlon "dialogue challenge". No embellishments even, can you believe it?!?! This is a conversation between me and my 4-year-old neice Jasmine. She always wants to borrow my camera, so we have this conversation a lot! All of the photos were taken by her on 10/9/05.

The Photo Shoot {starring Jasmine}

Jasmine: Sarah, should I use your camera to take a picture?
(Note: Jasmine often says “should I” instead of “may I”.)
Sarah: What are you going to take a picture of?
Jasmine: (pointing to an exercise band) This.
Sarah: Why don’t you take some pictures of people?
Jasmine: I take a picture of Joey.

Jasmine: Ok…..Smile, Bryan (He stares at her). Smile. (He half-smiles.) Smile. Smile! (She giggles when he sticks out his tongue at her.)
*SNAP*
Sarah: Why don’t you take a picture of me and Mommy?
Jasmine: Smile!
*SNAP*
Jasmine: I’ll do it again.
*SNAP* (I later found out that the first picture didn’t turn out well, and Jasmine got a much better shot the second time.)
Jasmine: I want to get the pictures. What button should I push?
Sarah: Why don’t you get a picture of Daddy, and then you can look at them.
Jasmine: Smile. Smile, Daddy. Daddy…smile! Smile! Smile! Smile! (He still doesn’t smile.) Fine.
