This is for the Scrap Decathlon - our LO this week had to include dialogue. This conversation was between my nephew, Matthew, and I just a few days before his 7th birthday.
Me: So, what would you like for your birthday, Matthew?
Matthew: Oh, nothing.
Me: Oh, Come on…There has to be something you want!
Matthew: No, not really.
Me: Your birthday is only 4 days away, are you sure there isn’t SOMETHING you’d like? Maybe I’ll just bring Branden’s present over.
Matthew: Okay.
Me: Matthew, there has to be something you’d like! Maybe I should just grab the first thing I see at Wal-Mart.
Matthew: Sure!
Me: Even if it’s a doll or something like that? Are you sure you don’t want to give me any ideas?
Matthew: Okay, 3 video games!
