I think this layout really captures my style. It is playful and fun, contemporary (as opposed to being vintage or heritage), bright and bold, silly...just a little bit of everything that is "loud".
I submitted this for MMM 09--didn't make it but I am really pleased with my submission and how all of my pages turned out! I think I did some of my best work for this submission (and I got some scrapping done too! LOL)
Supplies: Font – Centabel Book, dafont.com Patterned Paper – Scenic Route Felt – Joann's Fabrics Felt Ribbon – Magic Scraps Trim – May Arts Ribbon – KI Memories/Love, Elsie Alphabet Stickers – American Crafts, Making Memories Buttons – Autumn Leaves Adhesives – PVA by LineCo, Glue Dots, Tombow Mono Adhesive Runner Rub-on Border – American Crafts Die cut Paper used as Template – Jenni Bowlin Cardstock – Bazzill Black Pen- Martha Stewart Crafts
Technique: I love the variety of die cut papers available on the market. I keep a few extra on hand to use as templates, especially when the die cut paper I already own does not match my current project. On this layout I traced a Jenni Bowlin die cut paper onto a notebook style patterned paper. I cut it out and then I adhered it to another piece of patterned paper. I freehand cut around the scalloped paper leaving just a bit of the other patterned paper visible around each edge.
