Done for the August 2008 Scrap Pack Challenge.

The scan is a bit "warped" because of the lumpiness of the embellies... the background paper is a solid navy color, not black/blue like it looks in the scan. Sorry about that.

Okay, here's what I did:
"skittles" are used in several places (clustered on lower left corner, clustered on lower right corner and lined up on the arrow)
Arrow - inked red and embellied the heck out of it!
Doilie - cut the inner portion out, inked with navy and red
Shrinky Dink - punched stars outm, inked them red and yellow then shrunk 'em :-)
Re-enforcement circles inked wtih blue and put in a line down the arrow with the "skittles" along them
Beaded fringe - took the beads apart, used the teardrop ones in cluster at lower left corner, 2 large round on the arrow, 2 large round used as "pop dots" for the brackets, small ones put on fishing line and looped together to make a "pull" on the top of the arrow
Fishing line - decorative swirls, lower left corner (looks MUCH better in person than on the scan)
Split rings - used as embellies on 4 of the stars that are layered on the arrow
Cardstock quote shapes (brackets) - layered together using beads as the "pop dots" to make it dementional and inked the edges with red
Mulberry square - wet and fringed the edges and put under picture
Fringed material - used as edging along lower left corner

The only adds from me were the cardstock stars (to cover the glue marks on the clear pieces), ink, cardstock letters cut using my Quickutz Venus alphabet and more ink! :-)

I must not have been feeling very creative this month! I'm not liking this layout at all. :-( I had NOT A CLUE as to how to use the fringed material and I tried several different things that ruined the material, so in the end I only had the little bit that's on the layout left to work with!! Ugh!!

I do adore this picture of my daughter though. :-) I know she looks like a boy in a sailor outfit, but it was so cute and her grandpa (a retired Navy chief) gave it to her, so we had to get some cute pics done!!
