the day you were dianosed with autism we
could hardly believe it. we had seen the signs
for years, but it was like we were in a daze.
you never expect it to happen to you or
your family. we knew you were behind
on your speech, afterall you barely say
more then 15 words at that. we also
knew you had a lot of high sensory needs
and you had issues with anger. we always
knew you were different, wanting to wear
shoes 24/7, even to bed and in the bath.
but to us you were always our perfect
little boy, the boy we loved.
when they dianosed you they said you
had 7 of the 10 major signs of autism.
and while you were autistic, you had
only a mild case. and since you been dianosed
at a young age, with special help you
could live a normal life.
1 in 150 children is diagnosed with autism..
and every 20 seconds a new case of autism
is being dianosed. you my precious boy,
are just one of the few faces of autism.
and together we will put together
the puzzle pieces and find a cure.
for to us, we do not find you autistic,
your just the same little boy we know
and love, that happens to have
autism.
