Finally, I found it!!! This page isn't at all what I had in my mind but it's great just the same. It is so interesting for me to view your earlier pages and see all the various techniques. I can not imagine you putting in all of the eyelets after all the trouble I had yesterday and this morning with my little eight! I agree with all the comments that you were very creative and I love the idea of a picture each month. My mouth dropped open to read that you cut out each letter with a craft knife!!!! Oh my stars. I want to see your books again next time I'm at your home. I just understand so much more now that I see different things as I view them.
This is an absolutely wonderful idea!! Do you plan to keep up the whole numbers thing and do a 2, 3, etc? I just love this idea! I'm going to probably scraplift it you know :)
I adhered cardboard stencil letters upside down onto cardstock. Then I cut around each letter with a craft knife. I had planned on leaving the stencil letters under the cardstock and attaching them to the page to give them a little depth, but my craft knife is a little dull and didn't cut perfectly around each letter...So I opted to peel the cardstock back off (since I had used removable adhesive!) and just athere the cardstock letters directly onto the page. I used the same idea with the #1 on the last page of my daughter's first year album, too (although it was a little more simple -- no eyelets and only sticker letters). I love seeing how their little faces change over the course of the first year! TFL! I'm so glad you like it!
omGOSH you made a ONE out of his first years pictures.. LOVE how you did his name down the left... those PICTURES are the BEST.. oh my; how long did it take you to do those eyelets... how coool... I SO love this page. as you can tell *wink*wink*.... love the idea here and the page is so cute and unique. The year looks good on the right? is that sizzix? oh, and that gold or background color is great! :)
This is the title page of my son's album. I always save the title page for last, but I am still working on one more page in his book. This is a photo from each month of his first year. (Don't ya just love the last one!!!) I got a little ambitious with all the eyelets, but it went a little quicker than I thought. I had fun with this one!
